My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elliot has only been with us a short time.  We are guessing him at around 2 yrs old. He is a true coonhound and likes to bay when given the chance.  Our volunteers tell us that he is true to his breed and loves to smell everything when out for walks.  He loves to venture out to the local park with our volunteers.  He is social, happy and loves attention.

He is right around 50 lbs.

If interested in Elliot please stop in to meet him and complete an application to be considered. ***He is a candidate for our prison training program once all of his vet care is completed and they have an opening.

***Please visit our Facebook page for more photos and videos of our dogs.

More about this shelter

We are the Morrow County Dog Shelter, operated by the county.
Our shelter houses stray and homeless dogs from our county. We are a small shelter with an annual intake between 250-400 dogs. Some of our available dogs go through a prison training program if they qualify.
Our adoption fee includes all basic vet care and it is completed before a dog goes to his/her new home. An adoption application is necessary for all dogs prior to an adopter being chosen.
