Hi everyone, my name is Maggie. I am a 5-year-old, 13-pound Black and white Female Chihuahua/Terrier mix. Before coming to SBRET I lived in a really bad situation. I had irritated skin and a wound on my back. With medicated baths/antibiotics and a healthy diet my skin/wound is almost healed. I’m very sweet and love as much affection as you can give. I’m a little shy until I learn to trust my people. I’m learning to play with toys and the other dogs here in my foster home. I had probably not walked on a leash/harness in a very long time — I do well in the grassy areas but I really don’t like the pavement or sidewalks - that is something I need to get used to if you take me on neighborhood walks. I ride well crated in the car. My foster mom also crates me if she needs to leave the house for a few hours. I just take a nap until she returns (she keeps an eye on me with a camera ).
My house-training is going very well as long as I’m taken out to potty every few hours or so. And I don’t even mind being in the rain if I need to go. I’m a pretty good eater and don’t ever complain about the grub -- it’s better than what I used to have. I’m pretty laid back and I would probably be ok with cats as long as they leave me alone. I’m a pretty quiet girl and my foster mom says I would be ok living in an apartment or condo as long as there’s a place to take me out to potty.
So what do you think – I might not look as flashy as all those fluffy dogs you see, but I’m a pretty amazing cute girl. I’m spayed, microchipped, up to date on my vaccines, flea and heartworm preventions. My adoption fee is $175.
