Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sadie is a 2-3 year old American Pit Bull Terrier.
Sadie was found in a cornfield covered in fleas and tics. During examination Sadie was found to be pregnant. She had 14 puppies in October 2009! Sadie is a sweet girl who enjoys cuddle time. She is intelligent and learns quickly. Sadie is able to jump on command, sit and stay, play fetch and give paw. She can become nervous by loud noises and small spaces so a firm yet positive approach is necessary. She stays for her food until released to eat and is housebroken. Sadie is learning to be less nervous in the presence of other dogs. Sadie is not good with all dogs and would really do best as an only dog. Sadie does like cats and children of all ages. She is now spayed and is up-to-date with all vaccinations, she will be microchipped prior to being adopted.
If you are interested in Sadie, please contact Angela, our Canine Adoption Coordinator, at a_duffek@rornfp.org for an application. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE. We do not adopt our of the state of Illinois.
Please note, we do not have a building, so there are no "viewing hours". Please email for an application as our volunteers may not be able to return your call promptly. Thank you.
