Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Hank the cow dog! He was saved by his foster Mom after being abandoned on a country road and left to fend for himself.
At almost 3 years old, Hank has a ton of good traits! We'll be looking to match this lopsided-eared boy with someone who is searching for their best friend. Someone who loves the outdoors more than their recliner, a human with room in their front seat for a drive with Hank, and most importantly, a person who knows that rescued dogs aren't cookie cutters, that they take time to decompress and trust and that once you call to them, and they return.... they're yours.
Hank is a very balanced boy. He lives peacefully with the other dogs in his foster's home and finds comfort in meeting new people and treats. This boy is very food motivated and as you can tell in our video, takes food very gently from your hands.
Hank will thrive with a family of his own. He loves a good "bum scratch", a game of fetch or tag and has never met a stranger. A home with a yard is best suited for our handsome friend. His coat is ready for winter weather and we hope to find him a deserving adopter up North and get him out of this Texas heat.
Hank is 50 pounds of kindness. He's a mix of heeler and possibly lab among probably 15 other breeds. Hank will work hard and stick to your side by day but come the evenings, he's all the about r and r.
Cats need not apply.
Our friend Hank is, leash trained, fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, on preventatives and available to head North to his forever family using one of our trusted transport partners.
