For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
After 8 months in his foster home, Bill has finally decided that it’s high time he became a certified couch dog
Up until now, Bill has always needed coaxing to get on the couch but would often choose to curl up into the tiniest version of himself in a bed on the floor, or even in his crate. The fact that he’s finally, after all this time, feeling comfortable enough to jump up on his own has us feeling quite emotional Happy that he’s finally allowing himself the comfort he’s always deserved, but sad that he’s still waiting to experience that comfort in a forever home. Though Bill’s only been with us since October, he found himself in danger of euthanasia after being at the shelter since May of 2023, which means this month marks one whole YEAR that our Silly Billy has been looking for his forever humans.
We’ve done all the things for Billiam - the professional photoshoot, gone to multiple adoption events where he’s always been on his best behavior and charmed everyone he’s met, took literally the cutest pictures with Santa, made the trendy reels and TikToks for social media, etc. We are simply at a loss on what’s left to do to prove to people just how wonderful this goofy hound is. Bill is roughly 10 years young, house trained, crate trained, great with dogs of all sizes, he kindly asks for a home with no cats though (he’s been traumatized by some mean kitties and says they are very, very scary), great in the car (he just needs an encouraging little nudge to get in), loves toys and beds (the smaller the better), and will serenade you upon your return home every single day! He’s had a dental and all the senior tests imaginable, he’s perfectly healthy and beyond ready to find a home of his own! Haven’t you heard, senior is the new puppy!?!
Help us show Bill how loved and deserving of happiness he is! If you’re not in a position to adopt, please share this post in hopes that his future family is just a few shares away. For more information on our favorite silly boy, don’t hesitate to reach out! 904-392-3416
