Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Andie is an older puppy who came to us with her sister from a Virginia shelter. These pretty girls had been found traveling together as rural strays at just 10 months of age. After spending some time in the shelter, they became staff favorites and were networked to our Connecticut Rescue.
Andie has navigated the rescue process with ease, and while she seems shy at first, she opens up easily once the human love starts flowing. She is extremely affectionate, and would make an outstanding family dog. Andie loves people and could easily live happily with older kids. Her gentle, loving nature is on full display. She definitely wears her heart on her sleeve.
Andie is a petite dog at just 30 pounds, and likely has some Beagle mixed into her ancestry. She is active, but does not have an over-the-top energy level. She requires a couple of leisurely, "smell the roses" daily walks, but then is content to rest or take a nap. She would do well in a family setting, or with a single, or retired folks. Andie will be happy as long as she is loved.
Andie loves other dogs and has become a superstar in our Hound playgroup. She easily could join a multi-dog home with other friendly dogs, but we have not had her around cats.
As a double-dose of scent Hound, Andie's instincts are a mixed bag of gun dog attributes. Her ideal adopter would be an active single or couple, who can include Andie on hikes, runs, or walks, camping, or any kind of outdoors activity that will challenge mind and body.
Andie has good house manners, and is house trained and crate trained. Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during her transition to a new home. She has been spayed, and has received routine vaccinations and health screenings.
If you are interested Andie, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call or text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.
