Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bowie's young life had a rough start and he has been in a foster home for a year with no applications.
He was found emaciated, tied to a dumpster in an Indianapolis park. His current foster mom saw him shortly after his intake in the IACS medical room and couldn't help offering to spring him!
Bowie is a neutered, one and a half year-old, 44lbs terrier-hound mix. He has come such a long way since August 2023 on his road to recovery!
Crate trained
Uses the doggy door to go potty outside
Automatically sits for meals and treats
Loves his chew toys
Knows sit, shake, and hugs
Takes treats gentle
Enjoys gardening and watching racing
Bowie entertains himself when alone but would love a home with another playful dog of the same age (or younger) and size.
Mr. Bowie is still on his learning journey with training and discovering his on/off switch. He gets overly-excited and mouthy since he doesn't know the right way to communicate, so a home with young kids wouldn't be ideal right now.
Please consider giving this handsome boy a chance for an amazing, loving home!

The Four Legged Ranch began in 2015. We are a experienced group of rescuers that have come together as a team to change lives of dogs at risk at high kill shelters. We focus on pit bulls and bully breeds, but we are open to help all breeds. Together we are changing their world and adding a new family member to yours.
