Blue Thor is a 1 1/2 year old, 67 lbs, German Shepherd/Husky mix found dumped with his sister Honey. He has piercing blue eyes and a soft coat. Don’t let his serious looks fool you, he’s a friendly boy! He’s currently working on leash training and has been friendly with adults, but at times he gets nervous with men. Blue Thor is working on socialization with dogs, but he is still rather fear responsive when meeting other males. He has made progress with socializing with my male dog Dexter, but it has taken a good 4 months to help him settle in with Dexter, there have been some rough spots with aggression where I had to separate them, but this has been gradually improving. Thor will need an experienced pet owner educated with training. He would be good with other female dogs as he has not shown aggression with females.
Blue Thor is partial to women since it has been women that have been leaving food and water for him for months. Be patient and go slow with men. He has become friends with my daughter's boyfriend and did not take very long. He is very smart and wants to please me, but done not know how to do that yet. He loves to play with his toys, go for walks. He is doing great with the gentle lead and is now walking with a much less pull on the leash.

The first step is to put in adoption application. Once approved, we will connect you with the foster parent to set up a meet and greet. If all is good at the meet and greet, the foster will proceed to do the adoption with you. Our adoption fees are $275 which includes all vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip and a lifetime registration of the chip.
