My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ABOUT HAZEL
Meet Hazel, our funny little gremlin! This kooky lady came to us after her owners were unable to manage her medical issues. Hazel had a bit of a rough start here, she was NOT pleased being confined, but she settled in quickly and let her personality shine! Hazel is a true character! She is the Queen Bee and the biggest diva of them all! She likes what she likes, and she'll let you know what displeases her. She loves to play and loves to snuggle, she's a true lap cat! She allows you to dress her up, though she will only allow that in small doses. She enjoys going for walks in her stroller, as well. Hazel has been in a foster home before, here's what her foster has to say about her:

"She is still as sweet as can be!! I sleep in her room 1-2 nights a week so that she can enjoy nighttime cuddles. She has seen my cats and the majority of the time she doesn't mind them. A few times she has hissed at them/back at them. Over the holiday, she was able to meet my nieces and nephew and did really well! She just loves attention!! Her newest thing is asking for belly rubs!"

**Hazel has skin allergies, which are currently managed by a special diet and medication. If not managed, this allergy causes her to break out into a super itchy rash. She MUST stay on her special diet and medication unless otherwise directed by your vet.

*Hazel has recently decided that she would be comfortable sharing a home with other kitties, though she does need a slow introduction and a home with calmer cats! We aren't sure how she'd do with a dog, but we assume she would bully them. Once in a home, she does super well with children and new people, though she can be a little grumpy during transitions.

If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is designed to help you and your family find the perfect match in a pet. When the right match is made, we strive to conduct our adoptions thoughtfully, transparently, and with the utmost respect. You can view and submit an adoption questionnaire online ahead of your visit by going to our website: humaneanimalpartners.org. A questionnaire is not required to come visit us, but we will have you fill one out if interested in meeting with our animals. We strive to make the best match possible for you and for the animals. Most of our pets can go home same-day and come vaccinated, spay/neutered, and microchipped.
