Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello Kind Person! My name is Moses and I'm a rescue dog from Egypt. My ancestors used to guard the Pharos, so I come from nobility, and my current owner treats me that way. Unfortunately, he is sick and needs to have some treatment that's going to take a couple of months so he needs someone to take care of me while he's gone. I don't like to brag, but I'm a fantastic dog (and very modest). I'm super smart and if you want me to start or even stop doing something all you need to do is associate it with a little piece of dried liver and I'm putty in your hands. My owner has taught me to stop barking at other dogs, cyclists, and trucks. Now I'm pretty chill on walks. I'm good with cats, but still haven't kicked the habit of barking at squirrels in the backyard: I see it as my duty to keep those shifty characters away from the house. When I meet you, I may be a bit shy, but if you come with treats we'll become friends immediately. And after a couple of weeks, I'll sit on the couch with you (if you let me) and I'll grant you the privilege of rubbing my belly and ears. Even nobility dogs like to have their bellies and ears rubbed. I'm super gentle, and if I take food from your hand--for which you should feel honoured--you won't even feel my mouth touch you. I'll sleep at the foot of your bed on the floor and keep you safe all night. It's what my ancestors did for the Egyptian kings, and it's what I'll do for you. And in case you're wondering about the supplies I need, I come with all of the accoutrements that a self-respecting dog could need: food, treats, bed, harness, treats, leashes, and more treats, and my owner's phone number in case you have any questions about me. I practice talking every day, but my words are still incoherent because of the shape of my mouth, so it's best to call my owner to get actual words.
