Arrival Story: Poor Mickey hasn't had the best luck in his life. His first owner had medical issues and couldn't keep him but then a kind family member took him in, where he lived for 2 years. But then the city where his new family lived found out they had one too many dogs, so one had to go. You guessed it - it was poor Mickey!
Age / Weight: Mickey is approx. 6 years old and 40 lbs.
Personality Description: Mickey is such a sweet and gentle boy. He is quiet and a little shy with new people but he has the most gentle soul. He has lived with other dogs & children and walks great on a leash. He's a great boy who's had some back luck and just wants a family that will keep him for the rest of his life.
Ideal Forever Home: Mickey would do well in many home settings but given his breed, his new family needs to understand the tendancies of a whippet which is from the greyhound family. They love to run and Mickey did like to chase deer in his previous home so a fenced yard would be best. If no fence, Mickey will need to be on leash or on a lead just to be safe.

Adoption Fees Our adoption fees are as follows and include (at a minimum) pet sterilization, vaccines, worming (if necessary) and microchipping.
Adult Dogs (6+ months): $175
Adult Small Breed Dogs: $250
Senior Dogs: $125
Puppies (6 months & under): $275 Mickey is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
