Ryder was a stray picked up in Arkansas and never claimed, which is baffling because he seemed well-cared for, he's an adorable size, and he's super friendly! When the shelter needed "space", we couldn't let that be his last day on earth, so we made space for him in our program and now he's ready for the ride of his life up to a family who will be so grateful to have such a cool dog.

Ryder is the perfect combination of sweet & smart!! Plus he's eager-to-learn -- the magic trifecta for training! In fact, his foster mom says she believes Ryder would learn just about anything for a treat! He's already taking well to basic obedience and leash training. He also loves to play with the kids and dogs at his foster home, stealing toys in a playful game of chase, or running like a lunatic when he gets the "puppy Zoomies"!! And his favorite way to cap a good play session is with a belly rub until he goes to sleep, so make sure you have enough downtime for needed cuddles!

Ryder is about 2 years old, he weighs only about 25 pounds and he's a very healthy boy. We think he may have Mini-Aussie in him, which means herding behaviors may come out over time (he hasn't shown any to us, however!!).
