Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Daisy Mae is a loving, affectionate youngster who is looking to find her forever family! Daisy has had it rough, found roaming as a stray. But she is currently living in an APA foster home where she is learning all the skills she'll need to join your family.
Daisy has a friendly nature and loves all people! She can take a moment to warm up to new faces, but once she's comfortable her sugary sweet personality will quickly emerge. She craves human interaction and would be perfectly happy to get pets all day long. She also does fine when humans have to leave the home. In her foster home, she stays in the half-bathroom and has had no problems. But she will be excited to see you when you return home!
We're working to build Daisy's confidence so she can explore more of the world outside, but at the moment she is scared and overwhelmed by new spaces. She is not willing to try walking on a leash, and when she is frightened she tries to run. With time we think she will be willing to expand her horizons, but her new family will need patience to help her gain confidence.
With some consistency, Daisy will blossom into a fantastic family dog. She likes being around other dogs but she would also do fine as the only dog in the home. Cats are maybe a bit too interesting to her though! We think she would love a home with kids although she might need time to acclimate to the noise and commotion of smaller children. Daisy Mae just wants a soft place to lay her head on and a loving family. She's not picky, she's just looking for some consistency and stability in her life. Can your family provide it for her?
