My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:


Huck is a very loving dog. He has a lot of energy and loves to play. However, He needs a home where he can run around outside and be able to chase squirrels and chipmunks. He also needs to be with someone that is loving and that he can trust. He is very smart and pretty well trained.
I acquired him from my sister who did not want to own three dogs. Shortly before that, he came from somebody who was in a townhome and could not give him the proper attention and exercise that he needed. I am 71 years old with some health problems and am unable to give him the time and energy that he needs. I live in a neighborhood in Rockford and he needs more than that. I'm trying to find an owner for him that lives in a rural area so that he can have a place to run and a warm loving home to live in. He is wary of small children who get near his head because they are about the same size as he is. He will fit into a home that is made up of teenagers and adults better than any home with small children.
