My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Recoe is a wonderful dog who has been a joy to have in foster care. He is only about two years old, but he is generally calm and quiet in the house. He gets along well with other dogs. Recoe is even good with cats and has been an "uncle" to the litter of puppies being cared for in his foster home. Recoe is very gentle with people, enjoys quiet cuddles and petting.


Unlike most coonhounds we have fostered, Recoe LOVES TOYS. He seems to thinks he is in heaven with all the balls and toys in his foster home. Recoe is the first coonhound we have fostered who loves tennis balls, and he will even play catch by himself! He also loves to toss around squeaky toys and will make a toy out of his food dish is nothing else is available.


Recoe crates well, is housetrained, and rides well in a car. Although Recoe has not had a lot of formal training yet, he does know how to sit on command and is learning the "down" command. Recoe is learning to walk with a Gentle Leader and has started obedience classes.


Recoe has completed all his basic vet care. He is up-to-date with vaccinations and has been neutered. Recoe has also tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly preventative.
