Dickens is a sweet poodle mix, he is approx 4 yrs old and 25 lbs ,
he gets along well with the other dogs , but does like to bark at the new ones that come into foster care until he knows them

he likes to run and play in the back yard and loves toys ! he seems to be pretty well house trained and does well on a leash, he will hop up into the back of the car to go for a ride

as we are not sure of his breed mix and we do not consider him hypoallergenic or allergy friendly

he tested positive for heartworms when rescued and has been treated with the recommended shots by the AHS, they suggest retesting in 9 months , we usually find the dog is clear of heartworms in 6 months

THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE IN HOUSTON, TX

OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only and no children under that age of 8 years.

WE REQUIRE AT LEAST TWO YEARS OF VET RECORDS ON YOUR CURRENT OR PAST DOG FOR OUR REVIEW. RECORDS MUST SHOW THE POTENTIAL ADOPTER AS THE OWNER

The total adoption fee of $600 ( and includes spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper ,canine influenza, and microchip.transport and the required interstate health certificate..The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. care.
