Update: Falkor has completed his Heartworm treatment and is doing extremely well.
He needs to remain calm for the next two months while the nasty dead heart worms are absorbed by his body. He is a very lovable little guy and would make an excellent companion for an elderly person. He loves nothing more than to be in your lap or nearby.
This baby was picked up by Harris County animal control running intact, and not surprising, he is heartworm positive.
We'll get him properly vetted. First, neuter. Then, HW treatment.
This happy playful baby did not deserve to be so neglected.
He needs a home that can help him recover. We will pay for his treatment and provided all medications. Can you give him a temporary home (or, if you want to adopt him, FOSTER-to-adopt)
His treatment will take 90 days. during this time, he needs to stay 'low and slow' crate rest while the heartworms die. (not literally in a crate, but restricted activity)
