My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stan the Man is a smiley young boy who was originally found as a stray back in 2023. He stayed with his finder for several days before heading to the shelter and they said that he was very friendly with people, obedient, and did well with kiddos. They also said he smiles a lot, and you’ll definitely notice his million-dollar grin as soon as you meet him!!

Stan was adopted but was returned to the shelter when his person could no longer care for him. Stan’s former owner told us that he is energetic, housebroken, and loves to sleep next to his person at night. He knows ‘sit’, waits politely for his food when asked, and was described as being very friendly.

Stan was in poor condition with significant wounds when he came back to PACC, but nothing can slow him down- he’s been a model patient and is doing great with the care of our shelter vet team! Now he’s just looking to get back into a stable home environment with a family who will spoil him.

Here’s what one of Stan’s volunteer friends said:

“On our walk today Stan the Man was very alert and interested in scents and walked with a loose leash most of the time. He is very good about being handled.”

Stan has generally kept to himself when meeting other dogs in playgroup; he can be assertive at times, so would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Ask to meet Stan the Man today!!
