Pancake was picked up off the streets, already neutered and microchipped (but alas, the chip was not registered). He is a sassy little guy, he enjoys long walks and belly rubs. He also enjoys his dinner to the point of resource guarding - as in if you get near his bowl, he will bite you. We are hand feeding him as a way to diminish this behavior, but his future family needs to be aware that he is not perfect.
He loves running loose on the farm, ignores the other dogs and cats, and will happily trot along wherever his foster travels. He is a perfect auxiliary dog!
All our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have been dewormed and are current on vaccinations. Our adoption fee includes 30 days of complimentary medical insurance for your new pet. Breed and size is frequently a guess and can not be guaranteed.
Our dogs are fostered on a private residence, we do not have a free standing shelter. They live on a farm where they run and play with other dogs, cats, horses, and barnyard fowl.

Depending on timing, we cannot guarantee that the pet you apply for will be available when you come to meet our pups.

Sign Adoption Contract
Once you pick out your pup, we will go over all the medical records and you will read and sign the contract

Pay Fee
Adoption fee covers a surgically altered pet up to date on vaccines, a registered microchip, and 30 days of pet insurance.

Our dogs and puppies are primarily Sato's, rescued from Puerto Rico in the Rincon area (visit www.barksofhope.com).They are flown to Philadelphia airport, immediately vetted, and treated for internal and external parasites. All our animals are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.
Puerto Rico has a terrible problem with unwanted dogs, litters are discarded on the side of the road, in trash cans, and dumped in the woods. If brought to a shelter, the kill rate is 94%. We are always looking for tourists and business people willing to carry on pups to get them out of a bad situation and into loving, forever homes.
