Meet Little! Little is a 5-year-old female Pitbull with a calm and gentle nature. In her pen, she sits quietly, patiently waiting for you to leash her up, showing no jumping or barking. Though she can be a slight hard puller at times, she walks well on a leash and is easy to manage. Little adores pets, snuggles, and durable toys like kongs and Jolly Balls. Her goofy, playful personality shines through, and despite being shy, she`s a total love-bug once she warms up to you.
Things Little Loves: Walkies Scritches and pets Durable toys (especially Jolly Balls) Lazy fetchExploring the yard Snuggling with her favorite people
What We Love About Little: Little is a joyful girl who loves chasing and wrestling with balls. She’s also curious about her surroundings, particularly chickens and bunnies, so a home without small animals might be best. Little is sensitive—she was once startled by a water bottle—but quickly returns to her happy self when she`s comfortable. In the yard, she’s soft and quiet, always watching the handler walk by, waiting for her turn to join.
The Perfect Home for Little: Little would thrive in a home where she gets plenty of scratches, pets, and a patient family who can help her navigate overwhelming moments. While she might get excited and mouthy when bored, a firm “no” resets her easily, and she calms down once she knows she has your attention. She is well-behaved in her kennel, non-reactive to other dogs, and shows a desire to play with them. Little is sweet, easy-going, and loves licking and seeking attention once she feels at ease.
Little will be a wonderful companion for a family ready to embrace her sweet, playful spirit!

More about this shelter
Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Michelle Maltun at (805) 345-5741.
We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.
We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.
At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
