Meet Eli. Talk about having a rough year. This poor, sweet 1yr old male German Shepherd, weighing roughly 40lbs, was found with a pellet lodged in his spine. Somebody actually shot him!! 😡😢 Despite knowing only cruelty from humans in the past, Eli has thrived under the care of his current foster family. He is very sweet and loves to play with toys. They say he is a happy boy who loves affection and knows exactly the right time to howl in the song “Werewolves of London” 😊 Eli can walk ok, he will not be running any marathons soon😊. He does not always know when to tell you he has to go out so you may have to remember to bring him out for bathroom breaks. This is completely manageable and may go away after surgery, which we are taking care of, but we need to get him to Long Island first in order to take him to our surgeon. He loves other dogs. Cats are an unknown. He is neutered and UTD on all.
If you feel you are the right person(s) to love this sweet, deserving soul, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org.
