Toby Roby: 11 years old, 20 pounds, Miniature Pinscher
This senior is a perfect match for a mature household that wants to pamper a little dog. Toby Roby is housetrained, crate trained, fine with dogs and cats (except when eating), good on a leash and overall well mannered. He does have 'get up and go' so if you don't have a fenced yard he would need several walks a day. Toby's adopter must be familiar with food guarding. This gentleman is good natured except around food and treats: he gets possessive, therefore no kids. He does not want to be disturbed. His foster writes, "Toby is a very sweet boy, but it takes him a little while to warm up. When it’s food time, he jumps up in the air until you set the bowl on the ground, then beware of approaching this little bugger! After meals he returns to his sweet self. " Toby loves to sleep on the couch pillows and going under the bed covers. He just needs time to adjust to to enjoy his meals in private.
This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog’s description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances.
