Hi Humans!
My name is Daisy and I am a Bloodhound. I bet you are saying to yourself, that girl is just gorgeous, right? But I am much more than just a pretty face.
I am pretty easy going and mellow. I am polite to every human I have met, although I haven’t been around children yet. I pretty much ignore other dogs. Cats look really tasty so it may be better for me to find a family without cats, rabbits, or other animals that my breed is genetically programmed to hunt.
I love the comforts of living inside and my comfy in my bed. That, or on the couch, is where I sleep at night as well. I am a lady and I have manners.
Speaking of manners, I don’t have any need to follow you around the house. I trust you to find your way. And no pushing my way into the bathroom. That is just rude! I love attention but I am not a needy dog. When we are driving, however, I stay very alert watching out for anything that might hurt you. Although I am not a protection dog like a German Shepherd or Rottweiler, I do take this job seriously and would alert you if there was some shady goings on in the area. It should be known that Bloodhounds have the most sensitive noses in the business so not much is going to get by me- and I have pretty sharp eyes as well. I am the whole package.
I am polite with food but really prefer to eat in peace without pesky dogs or kids
getting into my business. I am not a resource food or human guarder and share well.
I love going out, but I don’t need a multitude of social outings or park adventures each and every day. Even though I love to get out of the house, I am content to snooze on the sofa as well. I am just happy with life.
My Before life was pretty sad up until I moved in with my FosterMama . I was ignored or yelled at and picked on by other dogs. So now, ideally, I would love to be an only child or live with another dog that doesn’t expect a playmate.
I want a chance for lots of attention and happy voices.
As a serious natured girl, I am looking for a family that is peaceful, respectful, and would appreciate my easy going, calm personality. I am NOT the life of the party but would be the one who cleans up afterward. I have lovely house manners, I am not at all destructive, well housebroken (and I would NEVER break the house…manners). My FM calls me “large and in charge”. She is always smiling when she says that so I know it must be a good thing. I am probably around 7 years old. However I have plenty of pep in my step and enjoy living my life every day. Remember, manners? A lady does not discuss her age.
Right now I am living in Albuquerque, New Mexico- yep, right between Texas and Arizona, dead south of Denver. We are all great vacation spots so why don’t you plan a visit to meet me. I will be delighted to meet you as well.
