My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Milo is a one-and-a-half-year-old, stunning black Staffordshire terrier mix with beautiful brown eyes! He has the shiniest coat you've ever seen, and what a smile! Just take a gander at this guy's face!

His appearance, however, is not what endears Milo to people, as much as his love for other animals. He might look tough, but according to his foster mom, "he's just a goober" who wants to play with anyone willing, be they dog, cat, or human. If his foster dog brother or the closest human isn't in the mood for a romp, he'll try to initiate a game with the family felines. What makes him so special is that he's very respectful of their mood---if they bop him on the head, he'll walk away. One of the cats he lives with has even taught him to play chase. With people, Milo is a cuddler, as well as being very talkative and dramatic.

He loves making new friends, and is fearless in that respect, so strange people, dogs, cats---no problem. Being still a puppy in many respects, Milo is still a tad mouthy, so older children would probably do best with him. Tug-of-war is a favorite game, especially if it's with a stuffed toy that he can demolish when the war is won.

Milo is crate-trained, though since still having a bit of separation anxiety, he may state his opinion about this at times. He's housebroken and his fosters are working on leash training, as this is one dog who loves life and gets excited about any new adventure. He adores food of any kind, but is on a sensitive skin diet because not everything he loves, loves him back.

There is a sweetness about Milo that's hard to resist, and watching him play with other animals or people, carefully matching his energy to theirs is truly heartwarming. He would thrive with someone who has the patience and willingness to train him, and another dog, cat, or active family to play with would be ideal for this happy pup.
