Sandy Mae's foster says, I believe Sandy Mae was a miracle sent to CAMO by God! Sandy Mae came to CAMO as an owner surrender from a senior citizen who was unable to take care of Sandy's medical needs. Sandy was in rough shape and her right eye was removed once she came to CAMO. Sadly one week after Sandy was surrendered to us, we heard that Sandy's disabled owner and her 3 pets perished in a house fire.
Sandy Mae is a 22 lb Cocker Spaniel mix who is approximately 9-10 years old. Don't let her age or lack of one eye fool you because she still enjoys running in our backyard and playing with toys. Sandy manages just fine with one eye!
I am thankful to be Sandy's foster mom!! Sandy has healed completely from her eye enucleation and is doing great in my home. She gets along with all dogs and doesn't have a problem with cats. She is super sweet, loving, low key...loves to be with you at all times & has never barked or whined 1 time since she has been with me. She is an absolute delightful precious Lady!!! She is thriving in my home!
Sandy Mae is kennel trained, house trained; but she is so well behaved she doesn't need to be kenneled. She is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, microchipped and Heartworm negative. Sandy Mae has been an absolute joy to foster and will truly be missed when she leaves us for her loving forever home. Will you be the lucky one to enjoy Sandy's love & constant companionship forever?
Sandy's adoption fee is $150
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.
Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue
CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
