My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bugs the Explorer!

Bugs is a handsome white bunny with a big personality. This goofball loves snacking (especially on hay!), exploring, and playing with toys. He has a special affinity to wood toys he can nibble on and he has a lot of energy to spare. But don't let his high energy fool you - when it's time to relax, Bugs is a total cuddle bug and will melt in your arms when you pet him. He loves blankets, making him a perfect snuggle companion during those cold Midwest winters!

His foster reports he is the funniest rabbit she's ever had, and she's had rabbits her whole life. He's known for being hilarious and sweet, and is a favorite among both other rabbits and people, as well as dogs. Not only is Bugs social, he is also is very good about using his litter box.

Bugs is an adventurous bunny, always eager to explore. He loves to do "zoomies" around his pen and play with his people. Bugs is one of the best bunnies around, and any bunny lover would be lucky to have him as a companion. Apply to adopt this sweet, silly boy today!

More about this rescue

ALIVE Rescue is a sustainable animal rescue group committed to protecting the lives and rights of animals. We believe that every animal has the right to a well-balanced, socialized and fulfilled life. We take on the responsibility to save, rehabilitate and place abandoned, abused and stray animals. Our rescue permanently houses and cares for the animals that cannot be placed into forever homes for the duration of their natural lives. We provide medical, behavioral and physical support for animals despite their age, health, and/or breed. At ALIVE Rescue, we promote sustainable living and care-giving by building awareness, appreciation and respect for all animals and the environment within our communities. We constantly work to educate the public on current animal issues, including the benefits of spaying/neutering pets.

Since our formation in 2008, ALIVE Rescue has rescued more than 1,600 animals in the Chicago area.
