My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zeus will thunder into your heart at lightning speed! Zeus goes on sleepovers with shelter friends, and they report snuggles on the couch, fetch with tennis balls, and sunbathing are Zeus' favorite ways to spend time with his people. Zeus is always up for an adventure, and is often accompanied by one of his stuffed toys. It's the cutest! Zeus LOVES getting pets and particularly enjoys ear scratches. If you stop too soon, Zeus will lean his head into you or gently place a paw on your arm, then slowly melt into your lap for belly rubs. Zeus is equal parts goofy and loyal.

Zeus knows to patiently wait while you serve his food until you give him a cue to eat. He is perfectly house trained and respectful roaming inside the home. Zeus has no time for shenanigans when home alone and will likely snooze the day away, even ignoring the squirrels playing outside the window. He is a mellow dog, though his occasional bursts of energy are infinitely entertaining!

Zeus is a fast learner and wants to remind you treats are the key to academic success. Zeus currently knows "sit", "stay", "shake", "down", "high-five" and "get your fish" (his fish is any stuffed toy he brought along on a walk). His shelter friends bring Zeus to APA!'s TOP Dog classes, where they practice skills to better enjoy being out and about in public. Zeus would thrive with patient humans who can give him guidance adjusting to new surroundings and making friends.
