My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet, Friendly, Mellow

Gameboy is the ultimate cuddlebug! He is obsessed with receiving head scratches and snuggling with his favorite humans. He prefers chilling on the couch and asking for affection rather than chasing a ball or jumping up and down - he's widely regarded as "the cool cat on the block." He enjoys lounging on his pillow by the window in the sun, watching the birds fly by. He is a very relaxed cat, and everyone who meets him falls in love. His foster's family even remarked about how kind/cute/calm he is. He does a very cute thing where he will flop into you when he wants pets/foods!

His ideal home is somewhere calm and peaceful. He is an orange tabby with adorable bright orange fur - who knows, he might be related to Puss in Boots! Gameboy does not have a lot of experience with other animals or children, but based on his mellow personality, as long as he is handled gently and gets the best, sunniest spot on any chair or windowsill, he's fine to live and let live.

Gameboy's teeth were causing him pain, so after a bit of deliberation, our vets decided to remove them. He's feeling much better now! A lovely benefit is when he is relaxed, the tip of his tongue pokes out. It's very cute.

People looking for a cuddly, affectionate, and adorable feline companion will absolutely adore Gameboy. Whoever gets to have him is one lucky human!

Gameboy has also tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Gameboy can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
