My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for a beautiful, sweet boy who loves toys, fetch, and snuggles, Neo is your guy. This little man is a great houseguest: fully housetrained, non-destructive (and relatively quiet) when left alone, and does not bark at the doorbell.

Neo gets along well with the foster's resident dog, though he can be particular about his playmates. While he is fine at home alone for hours, he loves to be close to his human and would be a fantastic (and quiet!) coworker for anyone working from home.

Neo currently takes medication to ease his "outside" anxiety (runners and cyclists can be scary), and he is making great progress with his on-leash behavior. He can get a little mouthy at times (during brushing, for example), but this is well-managed with a stuffy to chew on. Neo has displayed minor defensive aggression towards humans in the past, but he is far calmer with the foster in a home setting than he was at the shelter (where he lived for nearly a year). However, because of his behavior concerns, APA! requires all potential adopters to meet with him at the TLAC APA! facility. APA! He also may not be the best choice for families with young children.

This little guy has so much unconditional love to give and would thrive in a quiet, low-traffic home either as an only pet or with a well-matched doggy friend. He would love a yard where he could play fetch and a patient owner who is eager to forge a forever bond with him while continuing to work with his anxiety management.
