Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Laverne is a remarkable girl. She went from being terrified of all people to being a super snuggle bug with those she trusts; from shut down and hiding to a party animal, willing to play rough and tumble with her much larger foster dog-sister. Now she's learning to enjoy walks after being terrified of the leash. Soon she will be the perfect running or hiking buddy. She has come a long way and there is no limit to how far she will go.
Laverne is a character. She has a hilarious play bow that looks like a cartoon dog, and when really excited, clacks her teeth together like castanets. She will put her paw on your arm to get your attention, then fall backwards on the couch to show her belly for rubs.
Laverne loves dogs. It was the resident dogs in her foster family that broke through her shyness, and she would love a friendly dog sibling to snuggle and play with and give her confidence. She also loves toys and might make an good frisbee dog.
Laverne is a smart girl. When she looks at you with her loving, intelligent eyes, you'll know it. She picked up on the household routine just by observing the other dogs and as a young dog from a working breed, has the potential to learn countless new tricks.
For now, she's gonna do it her way, yes, her way, making her dreams come true...maybe with you?
