Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet Pea is a beautiful, sweet, loving black panther with emerald green eyes. She's a bit timid with new people, but loves to snuggle with her human. This sweet girl purrs and rolls over for gentle belly rubs. She loves other cats and will cuddle with some of the resident cats in her foster home. It's the sweetest thing to watch them mutually grooming each other! If you let her, Sweet Pea will also lick and groom your hand, your arm, and even your foot or leg! It would be best if she had a kitty friend around her same age that she can cuddle with and groom.
***She is a SPECIAL NEEDS KITTY***
Sweet Pea needs an angel adopter who is willing to learn how to administer the medications she will need for the rest of her life so she doesn't have asthma-like episodes. She is currently taking Prednisolone and also has a Flovent inhaler. Even with all of those meds, she still has "break-through asthma-like episodes, but not nearly as many as when she wasn't medicated. The vet cannot pinpoint exactly what's wrong with her, other than nodes in her lungs, so she doesn't have a diagnosis or prognosis. But Sweet Pea has been in our rescue since 2021 and is doing well which is why we've listed her for adoption. Hopefully a kind soul will apply to adopt Sweet Pea!
Adoption fee for this cat includes FVRCP vaccine, FIV/FELV testing, spay/neuter surgery, deworming, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate) wellness vet visit, one month of pet insurance and microchip. All animals are examined by a veterinarian. Please fill out our application at https://gkarma.wufoo.com/forms/good-karma-pet-rescue-cat-adoption-screening/ if you are interested in meeting or adopting this cat and we will be in touch right away!

We have a quick but thorough adoption process. We ask you to fill out an application and we will touch base with you by phone. If we feel you are a good fit for the animal you would like to adopt based upon your application, we will want to do a home visit and have you meet the pet. If everything checks out, we will ask that you sign an adoption contract and pay a donation - usually $75 for cats and $150 for dogs. This includes all vetting, spay/neuter, vaccines, etc.
Our contract allows us to come visit you and your new family member after the adoption to make sure everything is going well and your new pet is happy & healthy.

More about this rescue
Good Karma Pet Rescue is a small network of foster homes in South Florida dedicated to providing dogs and cats in need with the love and help they need and deserve.
GK was started in 2011 by Stacey Chen, who decided that she could best provide for her foster animals by starting a rescue that aims for best care rather than high volume. We intend to stay as small as we need to be to ensure that every one of our foster animals is treated with the same care and respect we show our own furry family.
GK is based in Fort Lauderdale and is supported by wonderful, dedicated foster parents throughout the South Florida area. If you are interested in helping to save lives through volunteering, fostering, or adopting, please get in touch with us!
