My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Destin!

Destin has been patiently waiting for his forever home since 6/23/2023, and we can’t believe this amazing boy is still here! He’s a true shelter favorite, loved dearly by both staff and volunteers for his sweet personality and big heart.

Destin will thrive with a confident, committed adopter who can continue building on all the great work he’s already done. He’s what we lovingly call a “Mr. Opportunist” — smart, driven, and always ready to learn. Because he prefers to be the one and only star of the household, Destin would do best in a home without other dogs or cats and with teens 13+.

This handsome guy is strong, but don’t let that fool you — he walks beautifully on a transitional leash. We’ll show you exactly how it works and even send you home with one! Destin is part of our training team and has been worked with daily, including professional training with the Dog Wizard of Chattanooga. His adoption even includes two sponsored training sessions, which we highly recommend so you can continue his success and learn all the skills he’s been mastering.

Destin is also an excellent car rider and absolutely loves going on adventures. Whether it’s a scenic drive or an active day out, he’s happiest by your side, making him a great match for an active home.

Destin has so much love to give and has been waiting far too long for someone to see just how special he is. He’s ready for a fresh start, continued training, and a forever family to call his own. Could that be you?
