My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Part of a BONDED PAIR with his sister Scout.

Meet Atticus & Scout, the dynamic duo ready to steal your heart! These low and squat "land hippos" may be a little wild and mischievous, but their love knows no bounds. Atticus & Scout are the epitome of friendly, always greeting everyone they meet with wagging tails and big smiles.

With medium energy levels, Atticus & Scout are the perfect balance of playful and relaxed. They love nothing more than snuggling up with their favorite humans and romping around a yard, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. They're sure to bring endless joy and laughter to any home lucky enough to have them.

However, it's important to note that Atticus & Scout need a home with a strong fence, as they're quite the adventurers and love to explore. Additionally, they're not fans of cats and prefer to be the only pets in the household.

If you're looking for a pair of loyal companions who will fill your life with laughter and snuggles, look no further than Atticus & Scout. Come meet these wonderful pups today and see if they're the perfect match for your family!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We strive to place all of our rescued dogs in forever homes.

Our adoption process includes an questionnaire to learn more about what you are looking for, a meet and greet with the dog and your pets, a home visit, and an adoption contract.

Our adoption fee is $250 for adults and $350 for puppies. To encourage families to consider bringing in senior dogs to their home, we usually waive or greatly reduce the adoption fee.

More about this rescue

Shadow's Fund was created to provide rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing for seniors and other special needs dogs that often get passed over by the public in shelters. Our goal is to provide those without hope the chance to experience love and joy again.
