My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PART OF A BONDED PAIR

Meet Bella & Merlot, the inseparable senior pair whose bond is as strong as their love for snuggles. Bella, once a timid dog who was discarded by her owner, found her confidence with Merlot by her side. Since their meeting 8 years ago, they have been side-by-side every day. Merlot introduced himself with an exuberant play-bow and he didn't give Bella a choice to be friends. Now, they've been together so long they are more like an old married couple, ha ha! This mellow duo, who enjoy everything treat related, are looking for a cozy couch to call their own. While Bella may need a bit of time to warm up, it doesn't take long before she's asking for butt-scratches. They're seeking a forever home with no other animals, where they can be the center of attention as your cherished companions!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We strive to place all of our rescued dogs in forever homes.

Our adoption process includes an questionnaire to learn more about what you are looking for, a meet and greet with the dog and your pets, a home visit, and an adoption contract.

Our adoption fee is $250 for adults and $350 for puppies. To encourage families to consider bringing in senior dogs to their home, we usually waive or greatly reduce the adoption fee.

More about this rescue

Shadow's Fund was created to provide rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing for seniors and other special needs dogs that often get passed over by the public in shelters. Our goal is to provide those without hope the chance to experience love and joy again.
