Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Harlow is a one-and-a-half-year-old, fully vetted mini-Aussie that weighs only 21 pounds. She may be small but she is mighty and is definitely the boss to the dogs that will let her be.
Harlow is high energy, especially in the mornings and when any food is in sight (Hers or ours). She is continually improving on her impulse control and is a nice calm presence while I’m working during the day. She is very attached to her humans and will always keep her main person in her sights. She is good in her crate and likes to sleep there at night if its placed next to her person’s bed. She is NOT good with cats.
Harlow is shy at first with strangers but will warm up faster if treats are offered. She is untested with cats and kids. She’s good on a leash and a good car rider.
One issue that is still a work in progress is her tendency to “mouth” on her humans when she is excited., so we are not recommending young children. I have had some success with offering a stuffed animal or chew toy to distract her from my hands and arms, but more work is needed.
Harlow will make a great addition to a home with calm, patient dogs, or no dogs at all. Her foster parents will miss her terribly and will look for regular updates on her future adventures in her new furever home!
Harlow is being fostered in Brunswick, Ga. If she sounds perfect for you, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application
There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new family. All adoption fee are used for future rescue efforts.
