My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***The first step in the adoption process is to go to our website at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org to complete the Adoption Application*** Sweet little Irma, or "Baby Wobbles" is nicknamed so because she has a condition- cerebellar hyperplasia- which causes her to wobble/ be slightly unbalanced as she walks/ moves. Because of this, she needs to have her nails a little longer (not necessarily sharp, but not too short) for grip so she can get around better on smooth flooring, or carpet would be good too but she gets around quite well. She gets along well with her kitty friends in the purple room & lets anyone pick her up & snuggle & cuddle her for a long as they want or a long as she'll tolerate haha. She is a little lovebug & can often be found lounging on the multi level cat beds, so her condition doesn't stop her from getting up off the ground by herself, she's pretty independent! Irma is spayed & current on vaccinations. As always, all cat & kitten adoption fees are a free will donation for approved applicants.

Go meet their pets

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
