Introducing Foster Topsy, a heartwarming 10.5-year-old bulldog who's an absolute snuggle bug! Topsy's journey brought her to KCEBR, where she arrived as a neglected sweetheart. She had struggled with bad skin, minimal fur, goopy eyes, and the weight of fear. Despite her challenges, she radiates resilience and love.
Topsy's vision may be impaired, but her ability to love knows no bounds. Although she might not always locate your exact position, her keen sense of hearing lets her tune into your presence. Navigating her surroundings, both indoors and within her enclosed yard, is a breeze for this spirited bulldog. And you won't believe it, but Topsy has taken to galloping down the hall!
When it comes to her preferences, Topsy has a penchant for vegetables - a healthy choice that shows her unique taste. But that's not all. She adores nothing more than catching up on her beauty sleep and soothing herself by sucking on fuzzy blankets.
Living harmoniously with a pack of two Bulldogs and two Labradors, Topsy fits right in. Her life has transformed under the caring wings of KCEBR, and the future holds nothing but pure, unconditional love for this special soul. Thank you, KCEBR, for ensuring that the rest of Topsy's days are brimming with warmth and affection.

ADOPTIONS ONLY WITHIN A 1 HOUR RADIUS OF THE KANSAS CITY METRO AREA.A volunteer will review your application. The volunteer will contact you via email or phone to talk with you further, and coordinate a time to visit you and your family in your home. We need all family members available for the home visit. This gives us all a chance to talk about rescue and we can learn about your expectations for a rescue bulldog. If you have existing pets, it gives us a chance to meet them, too. We also check security of gates, fences and screen doors (if applicable).Upon approval, we’ll immediately contact our foster families, describe your situation and look for a bulldog we think fits your home dynamics. We rarely get puppies. Typically, we’ll send you photos and a short bio on a dog we think will work in your situation. If you are interested, we’ll put you in touch with the foster home. You’ll then coordinate a meeting spot to meet the dog. Please keep in mind that not all bulldogs are listed. Sometimes a dog comes into rescue and is placed in an approved home very quickly. Please be patient during the finding your bulldog process. We need to make sure we have the perfect match for you and our rescue bully. Our adoption fees range from about $300-$650 depending on the bulldogs health, temperament, age, etc.
