Hi there, I’m Olaf, and just like my namesake, I *love* warm hugs! But, if I’m being honest, I like to take my time getting to know new people first. Once I feel safe, I’m a loyal and loving companion, but slow introductions help me feel comfortable and build trust. My rescue family is helping me gain confidence, and they remind me that even humans sometimes need a little time to warm up—so I think I’m in good company!
Oh, and about my ears—apparently, they bounce when I walk! I can’t see it myself, but I hear it’s *ridiculously* cute. When we meet, you’ll have to let me know what you think!
I’m an active guy who loves to play ball, go on adventures, and enjoy long walks—especially with a dog buddy by my side. But I also know when it’s time to settle in for belly rubs and snuggles. I’m as playful as I am affectionate, and once you’re in my circle, you’re in for a lifetime of love! I’ve been working on some good manners, like waiting at the door before walks, getting comfy in my crate, and I already know the basics—sit, come, and more.
Now, full disclosure—I sometimes *think* I’m a lap dog. I may not be tiny, but I just love being as close as possible to my humans. If full-on lap snuggles aren’t your thing, don’t worry—I’ll happily rest my head on your feet while you relax on the couch.
Life is meant to be shared with those you love, and I have *so much* love to give once I know you’re my person! I’m officially putting myself out there in hopes of finding my forever family—a safe, happy place where I can give and receive love every single day. Could that be with you? Let’s meet and find out!
Olaf is 80 pounds, 5 years old, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. If you'd like to meet him, please fill out an adoption application on our website: www.liveloveanimalrescue.org

More about this rescue
Live Love Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit organization that rescues homeless animals by providing them the necessary medical care, allowing for physical and emotional rehabilitation, finding them their perfect forever homes, and showering them with love throughout their journey with us.
Some of our rescue highlights from 2016: Bravey the Chihuahua "braved" a house fire with second degree burns on her back and side. Bravey had multiple laser treatments to speed up her healing, months of bandage changes and antibiotics while the burns healed. She is now all better and adopted to her forever home. Raquel the Min Pin was severely neglected and surrendered during our #fosterthe4th event at Long Beach Animal Care Services. After months of getting her well again, she too has found a loving lifetime family! Buster the Terrier Mix was hours away from euthanization. His behavioral issues are fear based and very workable with rehabilitation. Buster is continuing his training programs thanks to the funds made available by our rescue and his committed foster mom. And these are just a few of the furry ones we've had the opportunity of helping heal.
None of what we do would be possible without our network of fabulous Foster Homes. Fosters provide the safe space and daily care for our rescue pets to heal. They are the link between homeless and unhealthy to healthy and adopted for the precious souls we take in. Fostering is truly the most important part of rescue. If you're interested in opening your home to a foster pet that fits with your pack, please email us foster@liveloveanimalrescue.org.
In addition to generous donations from members of the community, Live Love Animal Rescue is also supported by our venture, Live Love Pet Care, where "With every pet care service you order, Live Love helps an animal in need." We are a social enterprise that believes in business for good, in allowing our clients to be our benefactors, and in evolving the seemingly separate pet care and animal rescue industries into one. "Live to Rescue. Love to Care.™"
