My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Reese!

Reese is a five-year-old polydactyl tortie! What's a polydactyl? It means she has extra toes!

Reese is playful and very friendly. She came to us after her owner passed away. She would be great for someone who has no other cats. Like to lounge? Reese is your girl. She loves to sit with you or on you.

Reese does have some caveats so she needs a special owner:
1. Reese does not get along with other cats and they cause her stress. However, she does get along with dogs! She lived with one for most of her life.

2. Reese is deaf. This doesn't bother her at all and doesn't require any accommodations, but it is something to note.

3. Reese has a minor eye issue and she has seen a specialist many times. The consensus is that she will be on an eye drop for the rest of her life. She needs them daily but is very good at taking them.

Reese is an all-around great cat and is why we started CTC. She's very special to us and we know her next home will be as special as she is!

We are an at-home foster and foster from our homes. When you apply please be specific as to what cat you are interested in, as they are often not fostered in the same place.

More about this rescue

Conquer the Colony is a 501c3 non-profit cat rescue. We are an in-home fostering rescue - meaning we foster from our own homes and do not have a central shelter space. Our main focus and mission is TNR - the trap, neuter, and return of feral cats. We are a small rescue that relies solely on donations and volunteer time. We work tirelessly to improve the lives of all cats, both feral and friendly.
