My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

INDOOR ONLY HOMES PLEASE

Shabba Doo is the offspring of one of several rabbits rescued from a neighborhood in Hemet in April 2023. His mom was rescued and shortly thereafter gave birth here at the rescue. His DOB is April 28, 2023.

He is the BEST little bunny! So cute and cuddly! He enjoys being held and petted. He eagerly awaits you to notice him and pick him up when passing by his bunny bungalow! He loves is wooden hidey box to relax under or hop on top of!

He was neutered on September 18, 2023. He has excellent litter box habits now that he has been neutered! Imagine that!

Shabba Doo should start out living in an exercise pen (x-pen) otherwise known as a puppy pen. He can have that as his home base or transition to a room or a section of a room or free roaming. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is open and an x-pen can be placed around it.

Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit.

Shabba Doo can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information. Delivery is available up to 100 miles from Lake Elsinore.

PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!

If you are seeking a rabbit as a companion for your existing rabbit, your rabbit should be spayed/neutered. Male/female bondings are usually recommended. See the following link for more information: https://rabbit.org/care/bonding/
