Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jewel was saved by a good samaritan before she was attacked by 2 big dogs. She had been dumped at a rural area that is common for this happening. A couple of Chihuahua had been seen in the area too and were never caught. Jewel was very pregnant when found. We got called to see if we could help her as she was ready to deliver any day. The last picture is of her with her babies who have all found their homes. We think Jewel is probably a Beagle/Chihuahua mix because of the Chihuahua's that were also spotted. She is about 2 years old and 20lbs. She is fixed, current on all shots, micro chipped and heartworm negative. We believe she would do best with another dog as she is very timid and responds better with another dog around. We also think a fenced in yard would be good for her. We are planning a transport up north October 14th if you would like this baby brought to you.
All of us in the rescue have full time jobs as well as running the rescue so if you are interested in Jewel please go to our website www.doginghampalacerescue.org for our application. Then email the application back to doginghamrescue@aol.com. The fees on our website are very out dated, we are waiting on the lady to update everything. Since covid hit, it is hard to get into vets offices and prices have gone way up. The adoption fee and transport fee is explained below.
We are based in the Nashville, TN area and have most of our dogs transported up north. The $400 adoption fee does not include the transport fee. The transport fee is $225, so a total of $625. The transport fee is not refundable if things do not work out.
