My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

An elderly friend of mine took in this sweet stray dog that she was assured would not get big. Although he turned out to be a medium size dog he is too strong and has too much energy for her to be able to care for him. On top of that her landlord has given her one week to get rid of him or pay a large pet fee that she cannot afford. She has asked me to help assist her in finding him a new forever home. He is a sweet, kind, high energy dog that is eager to learn. Rookie is extremely food motivated and that in combination with how very smart he is makes him and is able to learn quickly. He loves to cuddle and be with humans. He loves children and is scared of most all dogs no matter their size. Because of his fear of other dogs he barks at them and then runs away when he sees other dogs but with time and patience he has been able to learn to coexist with other dogs. He is house trained and walks well on a leash. He is eager to learn, love and have fun with new owners.
