Darla (born 3/10/2015) is a beautiful, healthy, adorable, medium haired kitty. Darla was originally adopted from the Society as a kitten and now her person had to move into assisted living and she is back with us again looking for her new home. Is that you? Darla is a loving cat who likes to explore, enjoys looking out of the window, being brushed, chatting with you and sitting in your lap.

We really appreciate that you want to give a shelter animal a home. The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904. The Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We also have a great adoption matchmaking team who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion. We start the process once you have submitted an application to us.
