My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Lucah and I am a beautiful, 2-year-old male, yellow lab. I am 82 lbs. full of love to give to my forever family! My foster mom and dad say I am beyond precious, and I love being petted. My prior life was not good. I was a breeder dog and my owners kept me out of the house. When I was rescued by SCLRR, my life began to change and I am learning how to be a wonderful family dog.
I will need my new owners to be patient with me because I'm still a little skittish with new people and surroundings but once I feel comfortable, I'm a lovable, affectionate lab. I love to play ball and play with my toys. I love to eat and am very food motivated! I ride well in the car, I know how to use the doggy door and am almost crate trained and house trained! I like walks, but sometimes I am still a little nervous. I am much better since my foster parents use a special collar, but I will need more training to get the hang of things. I get along with my foster brother, but we basically keep to ourselves. I think I would prefer to be your one and only. Since I'm so big and still learning how to be a family dog, I shouldn't be around small children.

My foster mom says that I am one of the sweetest dogs she ever had! I am medium energy and super cute. All I need in return is your patience and love and I promise I will love you back 1000 times more. I just need a chance to be happy and make my new family happy too.
