Enzo is a very sweet and loyal dog. He wants to be protective of his family which can be a challenge with young children he doesn't know. He has never bitten a human. Enzo loves to play fetch with balls, swim and walk in the woods. He would make a great companion for someone who is familiar with dogs and is in a quiet adult only household.
We are making the difficult decision to rehome our sweet dog Enzo. Enzo is an all-white, 100lb, 2-year-old German Shepherd/Lab mix. His DNA results show he is 50% German Shepherd, 25% lab and 25% border collie. We adopted Enzo from a rescue at a farm in Mississippi when he was four months old. He is an incredibly loyal dog who likes to work. He has been in pack dog training since we adopted him and is always around dogs. Since Enzo was a puppy, we have been working with two different trainers, including behavioral training. He is very smart and good at his commands. Still, Enzo is very protective of his humans, which can be problematic in a neighborhood environment where many unknown kids and other animals are coming and going. Enzo loves running, digging, chasing, chewing on balls, and swimming. Enzo is in his element while in the woods and following new scents. His perfect home is one where he has ample outdoor space to run and explore in.
Enzo is up to date with his vaccinations and neutered.

Additional adoption info
1. Submit an Application for Adoption by using the form on our website www.luckytalesrescue.org.
2. Our Adoptions Committee will review your application to ensure a good fit both for the dog and your family. We will also check your personal references as well as your vet reference. If you haven't done so already, please call your vet to give permission for your records to be released to us.
3. Once we have reached all of your references, we will be in touch with you to schedule a home visit/meet and greet! This part of the process is to ensure that the dog is the best fit for your family! Also, if you have other pets, this gives us the opportunity to observe how they react to one another!
4. If all goes well with the home visit, we will finalize the adoption!!
Please note that we do not do trial adoptions--we promote a lifelong adoption with the dog and family. Therefore we want to ensure that it is a proper placement from the start. We do understand that things come up, which is why we promise to support you through this process and after the adoption.
Our adoption fees are $250.00 for adult dogs and $350.00 for puppies.
No refunds on adoption fees.

Lucky Tales Rescue is a community focused non-profit organization. Our goal is to save and protect unwanted animals by educating the community, adopting to responsible homes, and providing lifelong support for our adopters. With love and determination we ensure proper placement by matching animals with appropriate forever homes and helping the animals start their own lucky tale. Our rescue is made up of a group of dedicated volunteers who focus on a better quality of life for the animals whose lives we touch. Our volunteer group is our rescue family; we operate and conduct ourselves just like a true family would. Our hope is that through education and support we can prevent animals from being abandoned and left alone in shelters.
