My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy posting, if interested in Pinky and Brynn please contact Clark at clarkcees@gmail.com or call 626-363-3251. Pinky and Brynn are located in Burbank CA. Please note Miniature Schnauzers & Friends Rescue bears no responsibility for any adoptions or contacts made through courtesy postings.

Pinky - 2 year old male schnoodle. Pinky and Brynn's owner can no longer take care of them due to a change in living situation. Pinky is good with other dogs but can be a bit skittish with new people. Pinky is only 15 pounds and very good health. Brynn is very friendly and loves everyone, humans and dogs alike! She is about 19 pounds. Both dogs are very bonded. Ideally would like to find a home together but can be separated if no other options. They are currently living in Burbank CA. If interested in adopting either of them or both of them, please contact Clark at clarkcees@gmail.com or call 626-363-3251.

More about this rescue

Who We Are

Miniature Schnauzers & Friends Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue organization based in the Los Angeles South Bay area. We are a small group of rescuers who have been actively rescuing animals in our community for nearly a decade. We do not have a shelter, our volunteers provide foster care for the dogs until we find them loving permanent homes. We are a small organization and handle a very limited number of dogs... while we know we aren't making even the slighest dent in the number of homeless dogs, we know we are make all the difference to the ones that we are able to save. Most of the dogs we get come from the LA area shelters but we also sometimes take in owner surrenders as space permits. We rescue primarily Miniature Schnauzers but usually will also have some other types of dogs available. Please note that we are not a source to get purebred puppies as purebred puppies in rescue are very rare.

Our Mission

In the greater Los Angeles County shelters alone an average of 475 pets are euthanized daily. There just aren't enough homes for them all. Our mission is to help provide animals a second chance to have a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation. We save dogs in need and provide them with proper care and foster homes while they await adoption. We evaluate the dogs the best we can in order to place them into loving homes that best suits their needs as well as potential adopters needs. We also try to educate the public on how to be responsible pet owners and the on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. The only real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets. And please remember before you adopt a pet, the committment needs to be for the lifetime of the pet... if you can't make that type of commitment, please rethink getting a pet. The shelters are full of animals there were once adopted or purchased by people who may have had the best intentions at that time but just didn't give enough thought about it being a 12-18 year commitment.
