My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bud is a male dachshund. He is definitely still timid but he came to life when he met the foster family's pups - butt wiggling and very happy. He is so content to just snuggle under a blanket with his foster mom and dad. He wasn’t sure what to think about the beach! He ran around a bit with our dogs on the sand but seemed a little apprehensive of the water! Then some people came over the wall to talk to him so he spent the rest of the time getting loved up! He gets along well with our dogs and doesn’t seem to even notice the cats. Bud will take a little time to trust someone but once he realizes that he is “home”, he will be an awesome dog!

WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs.

If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.

Adoption fee of $ covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.

We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible.
