Parris was found roaming around rural Texas with another dog, Bishop 2729. She was rescued and is in a temporary foster home in Texas.
Parris has been fostered in my house in Virginia for just under a week. She is people, dog and cat friendly. She is cautious when meeting new people, but becomes comfortable quickly. Once she is comfortable, she loves attention. If you want a dog to snuggle with, she is your girl. She has not been allowed to play with my dogs yet, since she is still recovering from her spay surgery, but she has met my dogs through a gate and has been very friendly. She should be able to play with them soon, and every indication is that they will do well together. She came into rescue with another dog, so she has a history of being dog friendly. Parris has met my cat and been very friendly, but wants to chase him, so that is something we are working on. She can be mouthy when playing, which is also an area we are working on. She is housebroken and crate trained. She is not particularly loud – she has barked a couple of times, but has been pretty quiet overall. Finally, Parris loves walks and does well on a leash. She will pull occasionally, and is nervous in new surroundings. But she has become more comfortable with her surroundings in the short period of time she has been here.
