Here's what the humans have to say about me:
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
Penny arrived in rescue when her owner could no longer care for her medical needs. You see, Penny is highly allergic to many things including but not limited to dust mites, environmental allergens, and the mites in the dust given off by dry dog food. Poor girl has endured endless medicated baths, oral medications, and suffers from itching and hair loss. But, we have vowed that this will stop here and that Penny can look forward to a future free of irritation and suffering! Her skin is already looking healthy and her coat is growing in nicely.
Penny is house trained and likes other dogs. She loves her tummy rubs and likes humans once she realizes you aren't going to shove a pill down her throat. A true terrier, she has an independent nature and loves her "outdoor" time to sniff and investigate but should always be monitored to insure she isn't exposed to certain trees and plants.
A delightful sprite who LOVES men, Penny is looking for that human who will commit to her for a lifetime, who can give time and tummy rubs, and any necessary veterinary care required to keep her healthy and happy.
The suggested adoption donation for Penny is a minimum of $500 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information
