Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I`m Minnie. Once I warm up to you, I`m the sweetest companion you could ask for. I love gentle strokes and soft whispers. They make me purr in delight. I may seem a bit timid, but I`m also very observant. I`ll notice when you`re down and nudge you with my head or curl up in your lap, just to remind you that you`re not alone. I might hide when there are loud noises, but I promise, I`ll always come back to you. Why should you adopt me? Because I have so much love to give, and I`m waiting for the right person to share it with.

MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES:
CHILDREN: I could be a good match with calm, respectful children.
OTHER CATS: I could be a good match with another friendly cat, after a slow introduction
DOGS: I have never met a dog. A proper introduction with a quiet, respectful dog could go well.

If you are interested in an animal you’ve seen on our website, you can call 519-833-2287 or send an email to learn more about them. You can also stop by the shelter to meet the animal in person. It may take a few visits to find the animal that is a perfect match for you.

You can stop by the shelter Monday through Sunday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.

You may wish to call the shelter before visiting to confirm the location and availability of the animal you would like to meet. The UCHS staff can let you know if the animal is currently at the shelter or at one of our remote locations, such as a foster home, local pet supply store or our Thrift Shop.
